TVAS Reading: Excavations at St. John’s College, Oxford. Evidence of St. Brice day massacre

On this day the St. Brice’s Day Massacre took place. Back in 2008 TVAS excavated the first archaeological evidence of this event.

The lecture will feature a skeleton from our excavations at Elizabeth House, St. John’s College, Oxford. The results of the excavations are published in Monograph 17 (£24.00+postage and packaging, available for purchase).

Below are links to our previous news articles about the skeletons found as well downloadable PDFs of the display posters used at the open day in 2010.
