TVAS North Midlands: Site Update -Two Kilns at Registry Street, Stoke-on-Trent

TVAS North Midlands have completed an evaluation at Registry Street, Stoke-on-Trent, which revealed the remains of two bottle kilns.

These kilns are more specifically updraught hovel kilns, that was possibly later converted to a hob mouthed oven. These date to possibly the early 19th century and have an unusual construction.
