Thames Valley Archaeological Services are seeking archaeologists to join our fieldwork teams at Junior Supervisor to Supervisor Level (G3/4, G4) to be based at our TVAS South office in Brighton.

Applicants will have an appropriate level of experience for their grade, a valid driving licence and CSCS card. They will be competent in carrying out a range of project types, including evaluation, watching brief, and area excavation and will have a good working knowledge of British archaeology. Practical skills will include the range of techniques and methods used in commercial archaeology, including recording systems and excavation techniques, and will be confident supervising fieldwork teams.

CIfA membership is preferred. Health and Safety training (including First Aid) will be provided. Any specialist knowledge is welcomed.

TVAS work across most of the UK, with a small proportion of the projects requiring away work for which weekly accommodation and subsistence provided.

Salary
Junior Supervisor / Supervisor (equivalent to BAJR Level 3/4 and 4) salary range £30,350 to £33,050 (inclusive of £2250 London Fringe Weighting), based on 37.5hr per week.

The successful candidate can be offered an immediate start (initial 3 month contract) with the expectation to transfer to a permanent position following a 3-month review.
